Course Description:

This course is meant to provide the foundations for learning and understanding musculoskeletal diseases in the context of neoplastic processes. It is designed for orthopaedic residents, fellows, and young faculty who wish to hone their knowledge in orthopaedic oncology. This course provides comprehensive training on the biology, diagnosis, and treatment of tumors, covering a wide range of malignant and benign processes. Participants will learn how to diagnose and manage the most common tumors seen within the musculoskeletal system. They will also learn about the most up-to-date information on the molecular genetics of tumors that affect the musculoskeletal system as well as the treatment of these diseases.

The course is structured to include a combination of expert lectures, case-based discussions, and a question review in preparation for upcoming examinations. Topics such as radiographic diagnosis of tumors, treatment planning, adjuvant therapies, and surgical interventions are thoroughly covered. This course is ideal for anyone looking to solidify already present knowledge or learn new knowledge in the area of orthopaedic oncology. We will finish the day off with a question review to allow folks to test their knowledge base.
